Haruka Noishiki (A’21) is from Fujisawa, Japan. She has found the IR culture at Tufts to be full of energy and momentum. She sought to create a space for women in IR to celebrate each other and loves how the team has come together as driven and kind women.

She’s chosen International Security as her concentration in the International Relations major. Combined with her other major, Psychology, She hopes to study the higher level decision making at the individual level that impacts the formulation of international agreements and conflicts. Haruka will be serving as Women’s Empowerment Fellow at the Asia Foundation in DC this 2019 summer.

Her go-to fun fact is that her name means “a field full of flowers to a distance” in Japanese!
