During the session we will be talking about what exactly our club does and answering any questions you might have about International Relations in general. If you are thinking about pursing IR at Tufts or are just curious about the major and what it's like, this is the perfect opportunity – we would love to see you there! Decriminalization of Prostitution

Women in IR is having our first discussion-based meeting next week in CC220 from 7:30-8PM! We'll be talking about the decriminalization of prostitution and what steps activists have been taking.

We will be doing these discussions centered around women's issues bi-weekly, and no experience is necessary, so come check it out if you're interested in IR! There will also be snacks :)

The Future of us engagement in the Middle East

We will be hosting four stations: Headshots, Interview Tips and Practice, Setting Up your LinkedIn, and Resume Editing. Discussion with Caroline armstrong hall

When: Thursday November 23, 2019

Where: 112 Miner hall

This Thursday, November 21 from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. at 112 Miner Hall, join Tufts Women in International Relations and Caroline Armstrong Hall in our discussion about women in the field of International Relations.

Hall has extensive experience working on women’s rights issues and humanitarian issues. She has served as a legal intern for the United Nations Office of Legal Affairs where she researched interpretations of the UN Charter. She also has done work dealing with menstrual banishment in Nepal and on a treaty-in-the-making to ensure cross-border recognition of protection / restraining orders for the Hague Conference on Private International Law.

Now as a student at the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, Caroline is specializing in international law and the political economy. Join us as we discuss both her experience as a woman in the field of IR and her experience working on women’s rights issues, specifically in Nepal.

IR Courses at Tufts

Come join Women in IR for our Tea on Courses event! We will be hosting members from different IR-related clubs on campus for them to give their input on some of their favorite courses they have taken at Tufts.

The event is open to everyone and is a great way to get advice about professors, classes, and general IR- related questions!!

Mentor-Mentee Event
Meet your mentor or Mentee

Mentees, composed of first years and sophomores, will have the opportunity to meet up with their mentors, a diverse group of juniors and seniors. The pairs will meet throughout the year to discuss current events, course work, and to hopefully form lasting relationships.
